A Hamilton man has is facing three charges after allegedly going more than 60 km/h over the speed limit in Essa Township.
The OPP say an officer was patrolling County road 56 on Tuesday, spotted a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed.
The officer determine the vehicle was travelling a 146 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone.
Police said the vehicle passed two other vehicles travelling northbound while climbing a hill and caused one to swerve onto the shoulder to avoid a collision.
The 19-year-old man was charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, flight while pursued by a pace officer and racing under the Highway Traffic Act. His licence has been has been impounded.
The accused is scheduled to appear in a Barrie court in June.
