Two Barrie men are facing drug charges after police seized Fentanyl patches and cocaine on Tuesday night.

Barrie Police say they were conducting an investigation into a 33-year-old man trafficking cocaine and Fentanyl in the city’s east end when the arrests happened.

Police say they observed an alleged drug transaction between the man and a 39-year-old man around 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday night and arrested both of them.

Officers say they seized 30 Fentanyl patches and a small quantity of cocaine and marijuana. The drugs were valued at approximately $7,700.

The 33-year-old man faces three counts of trafficking and possession of controlled substance.

The 39-year-old man faces a charge of possession of a controlled substance and breach of recognition.
