Youth reportedly struck in hit-and-run
Police are continuing to investigate a collision in Gravenhurst from earlier this week, where a driver allegedly struck a young pedestrian and fled the scene.
According to Bracebridge OPP, officers responded to a report of a collision between a vehicle and pedestrian at around 10 a.m. this past Monday.
Police say that the pedestrian, a 15-year-old youth, started crossing the intersection of James Street and Muskoka Road South and was then struck by an eastbound driver making a right turn onto Muskoka Road South.

The youth was taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries according to police, while the driver fled the scene.
Bracebridge OPP released photos of the suspected driver’s vehicle Saturday afternoon, described as a blue four-door hatchback.
Anyone who recognizes the involved vehicle is encouraged to contact Bracebridge OPP.
