Rather than fighting crime, a man dressed as Spider-Man is accused of committing a crime.

Police in Orangeville are trying to identify a suspect accused of shoplifting while dressed as the super hero, minus the face mask.

According to Dufferin OPP, the suspect allegedly made off with merchandise from a Shoppers Drug Mart on Wednesday.

Officers are calling on the public to help identify the man.

While police are taking the crime seriously, they couldn’t help but have a little fun with the situation.

“My Spidey senses are telling me that someone in town will know this individual,” OPP stated in a release.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the police.
