A North York woman is dead after a crash on Highway 11 late last night.
OPP say a car travelling south on the highway near Simcoe County Road 93 in Oro-Medonte lost control and went into the ditch. The car then went into the northbound lanes and hit another vehicle.
A 41-year-old North York woman driving was killed and her passenger has serious but not life-threatening injuries. The driver of the north-bound vehicle also has serious but not life-threatening injuries.
Traffic investigators closed the highway and re-routed traffic to Simcoe County Road 93 for several hours.
Highway 11 is now re-opened in both directions.
