Woman charged in early morning crash in Orillia

On Saturday, OPP officers responded to a call after a car hit a tree in a parking lot at 8:00 a.m. on West St. S and King St in Orillia.

According to Police, officers were advised that the lone vehicle driver was possibly impaired and arrived to find the driver showing several signs of impairment.

As a result of this investigation, a 28-year-old female from Oro-Medonte faces impairment and drug-related charges.

The accused also faces charges that include driving while under suspension.

The accused was held for a bail hearing, her driver's licence was suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
