One injured after e-bike crash in Orillia

One person is in hospital after an e-bike crash in Orillia on Thursday.
According to OPP, it happened at 4:00 p.m. at the intersection of Barrie Road and Walker Avenue.
When officers arrived, they found a vehicle with substantial damage and an e-bike on its side with a driver lying beside it.
The male victim, who was operating the e-bike, suffered minor injuries and was transported to a local area hospital, where he was treated and later released.
The motor vehicle driver was charged with careless driving under the Highway Traffic Act.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have information is asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers to remain anonymous at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
