One injured after e-bike crash in Orillia

One person is in hospital after an e-bike crash in Orillia on Thursday.

According to OPP, it happened at 4:00 p.m. at the intersection of Barrie Road and Walker Avenue.

When officers arrived, they found a vehicle with substantial damage and an e-bike on its side with a driver lying beside it.

The male victim, who was operating the e-bike, suffered minor injuries and was transported to a local area hospital, where he was treated and later released.

The motor vehicle driver was charged with careless driving under the Highway Traffic Act.
