A 17-year-old teen is in critical condition after a two-vehicle crash in Essa Township on Thursday morning.
Emergency crews were called to the corner of the 8th Line and 25th Side Rroad around 7:25 a.m. after a minivan and a commercial van collided.
Essa Township Fire Chief Cynthia Ross Tustin tells CTV News two people in the minivan got out safely but two people in the other vehicle were injured and taken to hospital.
The teen was transported to a Toronto-area hospital by Ornge Air Ambulance where he remains in serious condition.
The OPP's Technical Traffic Collision Investigators were called to the scene to investigate.
The road was closed for more than six hours but has since reopened.
