Police are investigating a home invasion in Bolton after three suspects allegedly broke into a house and demanded the occupant's vehicle keys.

Provincial police say officers responded to a report about a home invasion in progress Tuesday around 6 a.m. at a house on Crestridge Drive.

Police say the suspects were gone by the time officers arrived, but the investigation revealed the trio forcibly entered the home and failed to steal the occupant's vehicle keys before taking off empty-handed.

Police are looking to identify two Black men and one white man, all wearing dark-coloured hoodies with face coverings, who got into a navy blue or dark-coloured hatchback.

"OPP reminds everyone to be aware of their home and personal safety. Always ensure that doors and windows are locked, and be aware of your surroundings," a police release stated.

Anyone with information on the alleged incident is asked to contact the OPP.
