South Simcoe Police say they're stepping up patrols of Lake Simcoe in the Gilford area.
Police say residents have been complaining of excessive noise, drinking, illegal parking and littering.
The Gilford area is a popular access point to Lake Simcoe for people going ice fishing and for snowmobile enthusiasts.
Police also are reminding the public that a fish hut is not considered a residence or a private place and anyone caught consuming alcohol on the lake could be ticketed
