Muskoka is known for its stunning lakes and luxury cottages and has been a popular summer destination for several high-profile celebrities over the years.

Cottage country, often referred to as the 'Hamptons of the North,' attracted notable figures this summer, including supermodel Cindy Crawford.

The 58-year-old thanked Muskoka "for another great summer" in a post on Instagram over the weekend. She was joined by her husband, Rande Gerber, and the couple's two grown children, Presley and Kaia.

Crawford shared pictures of herself enjoying boating, paddleboarding and attempting a 1000-piece puzzle.

"Muskoka looks good on you," posted one follower on Crawford's Instagram post, while another wrote, "Canada loves you."

The Gerber family often spends time during the summer in Muskoka at their cottage on Lake Joseph.

Former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Rinna also returned to Muskoka.

The 61-year-old posted a video dancing on the dock in a large-brimmed hat and wet suit, captioned, "About to go tubing, but first, Let's Dance!"

"Love that you spend time in our beautiful province," one follower posted in response, while another simply wrote, "It is a truly magical place."

And what better backdrop than picturesque Muskoka for a wedding celebration?  In July, NHL star and Newmarket native Connor McDavid exchanged vows with his bride Lauren Kyle on a private island in Muskoka.
