They checked their ticket on the OLG app while at home one morning.
“It was early in the morning—around 6:00 a.m.— his first words of the day were, ‘Wow, wow, wow,’” Cleland shared. “We were stunned.”
The couple said they always make sure to add Encore to their lottery tickets.
“It’s a nice feeling to go to bed with peace of mind and wake up with the same sense of calm,” Malloy said.
They plan to pay some bills and have a little fun too, with a possible trip to Vancouver in the summer.
“Winning this prize has been a humbling experience,” said Tracy. “It’s truly a blessing, especially right before the holidays.”
Encore costs an extra $1 and can be played in conjunction with most lottery games.
The next Lotto Max draw is on Friday with an estimated $20 million up for grabs.
