The man charged with second-degree murder in the death of a Wyevale man over the weekend made his first court appearance on Wednesday.
Jason Heffernan stood in a Barrie court in handcuffs for the first time. His Lawyer, Sean Robichaud, had no comment on the case.
Heffernan is charged in the death of Corby Stott. Police say the 29-year-old was deliberately struck by Heffernan’s car in the parking lot of a Midland Wal-Mart.
According to investigators, the two were involved in an argument prior to the incident.
Heffernan will be back in court on July 27.
