The new riding of King-Vaughan has found its first Member of Parliament in Liberal Deb Schulte.

CTV News declared Schulte the winner of King-Vaughan, defeating Conservative Konstantin Toubis and NDP Natlie Rizzo.

King-Vaughan was created during the 2012 federal electoral boundaries redistribution and encompasses parts of the former riding of Oak Ridges-Markham and Vaughan.

Both of those former ridings were previously held by the Conservative party.
