Provincial police are continuing their investigation into Saturday’s fatal crash on Highway 11.
According to Bracebridge OPP, a car and a pickup truck collided just after 5 p.m. in the southbound lanes of the highway, near Severn Bridge.
Police say a passing motorist stopped to help those involved. Both vehicles later became engulfed in flames.
The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. The OPP say they are still trying to identify the deceased.
Five people in the pickup truck were transported to hospital with minor injuries. They have since been released.
Police say they are still investigating the circumstance of the collision.
