House destroyed by fire in Angus

A house fire has destroyed a home in Angus, leaving four people without a place to live.

The fire started around 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 29^th, 2014 at the home on Margaret Street.

All four people were able to get out of the house without injuries. One of the residents told CTV News that smoke detectors saved their lives. The four people were renting the house.

The fire is believed to have begun in the kitchen area.

There is no word on the actual cause or the damage amount.
