A family of three has been displaced after a fire broke out at a home in Barrie's south end.
Fire crews were called to a house on Nathan Crescent on Saturday afternoon after receiving reports of smoke coming from the basement.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames quickly. All three occupants and their pets made it out safely.
Early estimates suggest there is about $100,000 worth in damage – the cause of the fire has not been determined.
