Staff was evacuated from the GEEP electronics recycling plant in Barrie after a fire broke out on Wednesday.
The fire broke out around 2:30 pm, and more than seventy staff members in the building were able to get out of the building safely.
"At this point the fire is located in a special machine at the plant. It's under control. Our crews are working on hot spots at this time and using foam to contain the smoldering embers," said Carrie Clark-Weatherup with the Barrie Fire Service, at the time.
The cause of the fire is not known. The Office of the Fire Marshal has been called in and is expected to be at the site on Thursday.
