Ensuring winter months are bright and warm for all in the Sunshine city
The generosity of the community is shining bright this holiday season in the Sunshine city.
Nearly a thousand coats of all sizes have been collected through donations in the months leading up to the impending frigid temperatures. Thanks to the Orillia Learning Centre and students from Simcoe Shores Secondary School, it's time to make sure no one goes without this winter.
Cleaned at the Laundry Lounge by the students, so far over 700 coats have been handed out and there are still a few more that will be distributed.
Everything from coats to hats and mitts are ready for pickup until December 22 at the following locations:

- Orillia Learning Centre – 575 West St. S., Unit 15, Orillia
- Orillia Public Library – 36 Mississauga St. W., Orillia
- St. Paul’s United Church – 62 Peter St. N., Orillia
- West Ridge Coin Laundry – 5-3280 Monarch Dr., Orillia
- Wihlidal Family Chiropractic – 15 Matchedash St. N., Orillia
Coats are needed in all sizes including infant, child, teen, and adult.
