For the fourth straight federal election, the riding of Simcoe North has been won by a Conservative.
CTV News has declared Conservative Bruce Stanton re-elected on Monday night. Stanton beat out four other candidates, including Liberal Liz Riley and NDP Richard Banigan.
The riding was created in 1867 and has been dominantly Conservative through the years.
Stanton has been the riding’s Member of Parliament since 2006.
