Police say the suspect grabbed an undisclosed amount of money and then fell into a glass display case, causing it to crash to the floor.
They are looking for a white man, roughly 40 to 45 years old, with a scruffy beard, short light-coloured hair, and a grey hoodie and blue pants, who took off on foot north on Bayfield Street.
Police say he disappeared after running behind some nearby businesses.
Anyone with information, surveillance or dash camera footage of the incident is asked to contact the investigating officer via email.
Police say they are waiting to obtain surveillance footage from the Glenwood Drive store, which they believe will help with the investigation.
