New allegations emerge against Newmarket massage therapist charged with sexual assault
York Regional Police investigating an alleged sexual assault involving a Newmarket massage therapist say a second complainant has come forward with similar allegations.
Police say they received the initial complaint on Aug. 19 that Philip Lau, of Georgina, touched a client in a sexual manner at a clinic at Yonge Street and Savage Road.
Investigators say they believe the accused worked at two other massage clinics in Newmarket and Richmond Hill.
Lau is now charged with two counts of sexual assault.
Investigators believe more individuals may have experienced similar incidents and encourage them to come forward.
The allegations against Lau have not been tested in court.
