The 35-year-old male from Barrie, was arrested and found in possession of suspected fentanyl and a quantity of hydromorphone.
Police say, he was transported to their Headquarters for further investigation and was later released on an undertaking after being charged with failing to comply with probation and two counts of possession of a schedule 1 substance.
The public is being reminded by the Barrie Police Service to phone the police, just like this homeowner did, if they see an unknown person on their property.
The man is scheduled to appear before the courts at a later date.
