A Barrie man is facing a long list of charges, including sexual assault and child pornography, after being picked up by OPP on Wednesday.
The charges include sexual assault on a child, plus making, possessing and distributing child pornography.
The investigation began in March when the RCMP in Ottawa tried to identify a victim of child sexual abuse seen in a collection of graphic images that had been seized by police.
With the help of the OPP, the identity and location of a victim was determined which led to the arrest.
An OPP investigator says they have now identified three victims of the accused and describes the abuse as horrific.
James Sarsfield, 34, is in custody pending a court hearing.
