A 43-year-old woman had to be airlifted to a Toronto area hospital after head-on crash between a car and tractor trailer in Kawartha Lakes Thursday morning.
It happened on Highway 35 between Waite Road and Telecom Road.
Police say their initial investigation indicates that the car was travelling north on Higway 35 when it crossed the centre line and collided with the tractor trailer.
The driver of the tractor trailer was not hurt in the crash.
The OPP’s Technical Collision Investigations Unit is on scene and the road is expected to be closed for several hours on Thursday.
