A woman has been arrested for impaired driving in Rob Ford’s SUV.
LeeAnne McRobb was driving the Toronto mayor’s black Cadillac Escalade yesterday afternoon on Muskoka Road 169 north of Bala when she was pulled over by Bracebridge OPP. A source confirms to CTV News today she was in Ford’s SUV.
The vehicle is parked at the back of a towing company's yard in Gravenhurst with its license plates removed. The vehicle was towed there yesterday afternoon.
n a video posted to YouTube today McRobb – who is facing charges of impaired driving and driving over 80 milligrams – says she was in rehab with Ford.
Police sources tell CTV News other charges would have been laid if she was driving the Escalade without Ford's permission. She showed up to the impound lot today to collect some of her belongings.
Ford was recently spotted in Muskoka, posing for pictures with residents and visitors. He was spotted outside the Bank of Montreal in Bracebridge Friday afternoon, May 16.
Late last month, Ford said he would check himself into rehab for what he has said is a problem with alcohol.
McRobb, 36, is from the Township of Muskoka Lakes.
CTV News contacted Ford's brother Doug who says he doesn't know anything about what happened with the mayor's car yesterday; neither does the family's lawyer.
As far as we know, Ford is still in rehab and there is a facility in Muskoka, though it's never been confirmed where the mayor is undergoing treatment.
