A man found dead in a vehicle at a parking lot in Orillia has been identified as a veteran police officer with the OPP.
Provincial police saythe officer died while he was on duty Thursday morning. The officer was a member of the OPP Physical Surveillance Unit under the Technical Support Branch with 25 years of service.
A portion the of the parking lot between Home Depot and RBC in Orillia was cordoned off for most of the day while the Criminal Investigation Branch conducted a death investigation.
The cause of death was not released, but investigators say foul play is not suspected.
