There are no injuries after a tour bus fire on Tuesday afternoon along Highway 400 northbound near Mapleview Drive.
Firefighters were called to the highway around 4:45 p.m. Plumes of black smoke and flames could be seen coming from a rear wheel well on the bus. A spokesperson with JBC Coach Lines, the owner of the bus, says the fire started with the brake sticking.
The spokesperson says 11 people and the driver were already off the bus before the fire started and no one was hurt. The tour bus was headed to Casino Rama and a second bus came to pick up the passengers and continue the journey.
Two lanes of the highway were closed, while firefighters put out the fire.
A tow is on the way to remove the damaged bus.
