A plane crash in Scugog Township has sent a man to hospital with serious injuries.
Durham Regional Police say a small single-engine plane crashed on Saturday, at around 12:45 p.m., just south of Greenbank Airport.
Witnesses came across the crash site and pulled a 61-year-old man from the wreckage. Police say the victim has been transported to Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre with serious injuries, but in stable condition.
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada is now investigating.
