A man running a supposed cleaning business has been arrested in connection to a number of thefts in central Ontario.
Provincial police say the man offered a free carpet or window cleaning under the business, “Country Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning”. The man also offered snow removal services.
Once inside a residence, officers say the man would get the homeowners to leave a room and steal money and other valuables.
The accused was arrested Saturday morning in Gravenhurst. Police believe he is responsible for a number of thefts that have occurred across central Ontario in the past few months.
Anyone who may have been a victim is being asked to come forward and contact police or Crime Stoppers.
