A Kawartha Lakes resident is dead, following a head-on crash on Monday morning.
The crash happened on Highway 35, near Lifford Road in Kawartha Lakes, just after 7 a.m. Provincial police say a northbound vehicle crossed the centre line and collided head-on with another vehicle.
The driver of the southbound vehicle, a 54-year-old, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the northbound vehicle, a 38-year-old Minden man, was transported to hospital with serious injuries.
The highway was closed for several hours, while the OPP investigated.
The investigation is ongoing.
