A 69-year-old man from Thornill suffered only minor injuries when his float plane crashed in Kawartha Lakes on Thursday.
Emergency crews were called to the crash on Sturgeon Lake just before 5 p.m.
Police say the pilot, the lone person on the plane, was able to escape the crash with minor injuries thanks to the help of a nearby boater.
The Transportation Safety Board is investigating the cause of the crash
