Weather conditions close Highway 11 from area north of Orillia to Huntsville

Provincial police have shut down an extended portion of Highway 11 due to poor weather conditions.
The highway is closed in both directions from Kilworthy Road, just north of Orillia, to Novar Road, which is north of Huntsville.
Police say the closure is due to falling snow and whiteout conditions along the roughly 75 km stretch of highway and are encouraging people to stay home.
