Suspect arrested after breaking into residence: OPP

A suspect is facing multiple charges after allegedly breaking into a private residence in Bolton Friday morning.

According to Caledon OPP, officers were dispatched to the Bolton residence shortly after 6 a.m. for a report of a break and enter in progress.

Police say officers responded promptly and arrested the lone suspect as they were fleeing the scene.

The 29-year-old suspect from Brampton was charged with breaking and entering a dwelling with intent to commit indictable offence, mischief under $5,000 and multiple counts of failing to comply with a release order and probation order.

The accused was held for a bail hearing at an Orangeville court.
