A hospital employee in Alliston is facing child porn related charges, following a lengthy investigation by the OPP.
Police say they received a complaint in September about a man who was involved in sexual conversations with a 16-year-old girl online. The OPP say that man is 34-year-old Jared Connor Nolan.
Police allege Nolan, who works at Stevenson Memorial Hospital, used his administrative position to gain contact information about the victim.
On Wednesday, members of the OPP child sexual exploitation unit and the technological crime unit executed search warrants at the accused’s home and at his hospital office.
Officers seized 11 computers and an external storage device.
Nolan has since been charged with transmitting sexually explicit material to a person under 18, distribution of child porn, possession of child porn and three counts of internet luring.
The accused appeared in a Barrie court on Thursday. The allegations have not yet been tested in court.
