Environment Canada has released a snow squall warning for most of Muskoka and Haliburton areas.

Fifty centimetres are expected during the next 48 hours.

Early Friday morning, the Simcoe County Transportation Consortium cancelled buses to the Muskoka region.

Additionally, school buses to Meaford, Thornbury, Owen Sound, Dundalk and Hanover regions have been cancelled as well.

Trillium Lakes District School Board has cancelled school buses to many of the schools in that district.
