Four areas of Simcoe County remain under an alert for mail delivery.

Canada Post issued several red alerts last week during the snowstorm that dumped about 60 centimetres of snow in some areas of central Ontario.

A red alert means the national postal agency has pulled its delivery people off their routes due to inclement and unsafe weather conditions.

While many areas have been able to resume regular mail delivery, Elmvale, Orillia, Oro-Medonte and Phelpston are still under a yellow alert by Canada Post.

The yellow alert statement reads, ‘We are going to do our best to deliver, but there may be delays.’
