Police seize large quantity of “rave” drugs headed for Toronto.
The Canadian Border Services and RCMP have uncovered nearly 100 kilograms of narcotics in a shipping container in Montreal.
There were two different types of powerful stimulants found last week hidden in 500 sacks of rice in a shipment that originated from India.
There were 72.8 kilograms of Ketamine and 23.5 kilograms of Noraphedrine.
Police say both drugs gained popularity on the streets in the aftermath of the rave explosion, and have resurfaced in increasing numbers in recent years.
Police have charged a 49 year-old Orillia man, a 57 year-old Dufferin County man and a 35 year-old man from Brampton.
All three will appear at the Old City Hall Courthouse in Toronto on September 2, 2014.
