Police are continuing to search Lake Simcoe for a Toronto man who disappeared several days ago.
On Friday night police were called to an area along the 4th line, near Lake Simcoe, for a report of an abandoned vehicle. They later learned it was registered to a Toronto man, who was last seen on Monday when he left to go fishing near Innisfil but never returned.
Marine officers did locate a kayak on the lake earlier in the week, but haven’t confirmed whether it belongs to the missing man.
Both York Regional and South Simcoe Police spent hours searching Cook’s Bay on Saturday and were back on the water on Sunday.
