Police have charged two male youths in connection with armed robberies at a gas station in Alliston earlier this month.
The first robbery took place on Monday May 5th at the Husky Gas Bar on Victoria Street when a suspect walked in with a knife and demanded cash. A similar incident happened on Sunday May 11th at the same gas bar when the suspect also had a knife and demanded cash. Nobody was injured in either incident.
Both youth were arrested on Wednesday and will appear in a Barrie court on Thursday for a bail hearing. The names of the two arrested persons cannot be released in accordance with provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA).
OPP are still investigating a third armed robbery in Alliston which happened at the FastCash store on Victoria Street on May 14th, 2014. In this instance a man armed with a knife walked in, confronted the clerk, and then fled with money.
