Matthew Spring has turned himself over to police, according to his lawyer.
Angela McLeod says Spring surrendered to South Simcoe Police on Saturday morning and is now in custody. She says he will be in court on Monday for a bail hearing.
An arrest warrant was issued for Spring earlier this week after police allege he breached his bail conditions.
Police say Spring was identified as a suspect in a traffic investigation, where someone was cut off and went into a ditch. When police went looking for Spring, he allegedly wasn’t where he was supposed to be.
On Friday, investigators stated Spring agreed to turn himself in at a mutually agreeable time, but the warrant would still exist until he does so.
Spring was convicted of manslaughter last fall in the death of Bradley Hubbard at a mini golf centre in Barrie. He will be sentenced for that conviction on Wednesday.
