A man flipped his car onto its roof and into a ditch.

A lone car ended up upside-down in the ditch near Connell Street and Pretty River Parkway South shortly after 1:30 a.m. Thursday.

The Collingwood Fire Department was called to extricate the man from the vehicle.

He was transported to Collingwood General & Marine Hospital where he was found to have suffered only minor injuries.

Officers say the 31-year-old Whitchurch-Stouffville man refused to cooperate with an impaired driving investigation, so he was charged with failure or refusal to comply with demand.

In addition to the charge, the driver received a 90-day driver's licence suspension and a seven-day car impoundment.
