One man is dead following a two-vehicle crash on Highway 11 in Orillia early Thursday morning.
It happened just after 4:40 a.m. in the southbound lanes of Highway 11 between Memorial Avenue and Highway 12.
Police say a car struck a guard rail, rolled and landed in the passing lane. The vehicle was then struck by a pickup truck.
The man driving the car was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is being withheld pending next of kin notification.
The driver of the pickup truck was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Highway 11 southbound was closed for over six hours while police investigated but has since reopened.
