A driver, who was critically injured in a crash in Barrie on Monday, has died in hospital.
Barrie police say the 57-year-old man succumbed to his injuries at a Toronto-area hospital on Tuesday afternoon.
The two-vehicle crash happened on Fairview on Monday, at around 12:18 p.m., near Little Avenue. Police believe the driver of the northbound car, the deceased, lost control and struck a southbound SUV.
The driver of the car was taken to Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in critical condition and was then transported to a Toronto hospital. The occupants in the SUV suffered minor injuries.
Police say they are still working to piece together what caused the man to lose control.
