Barrie police are investigating a serious crash on Fairview Road that sent one man to hospital with critical injuries.
The two-vehicle crash happened on Fairview on Monday, at around 12:18 p.m., near Little Avenue. Police believe the driver of a northbound car lost control and struck a southbound SUV.
The driver of the car, a 57-year-old man, was taken to Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in critical condition. The occupants in the SUV suffered minor injuries.
Fairview was closed between Essa Road and Little, while technical traffic investigators probed the scene.
