BRADFORD -- Police say a man is facing charges after a woman was allegedly attacked by a co-worker at a factory in Bradford.

South Simcoe police say officers went to the factory on Wednesday night to investigate a possible industrial accident and found an injured woman being treated by paramedics.

They say the woman is in critical condition following surgery at a trauma centre in Toronto.

Investigators allege the woman was attacked by another employee who left the building and was arrested around 2:45 Thursday morning.

They say the motive for the attack is not known.

A 27-year-old Bradford man is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.
