Basement fire in Alliston leaves family displaced
A two-storey home on Buchanan Drive was the scene of a fire at dinner time Wednesday.
New Tecumseth Fire Rescue entered the home and extinguished the blaze that originated in the basement.

Two people were in the house at the time and escaped injury.
The family will be staying with friends and family temporarily due to the damage and flooding into the basement.
Nottawasaga Ontario Provincial Police say the fire did not spread to neighbouring homes and is not considered suspicious.
