Police in Barrie say someone stormed a home in the east end of the city this weekend and the intruder was armed with a gun.
According to police, the home invasion happened along Hickling Trail around noon on Saturday April 12th, 2014.
A man knocked on the front door of a home and then pushed his way inside. Police say the man threatened to shoot the two men who were inside the house and the suspect allegedly hit one of the men in the head and face with a gun. Cash was taken and the man who stormed the house took off.
Police say they are looking for a black man, who is just over six feet tall, weighing about 200 lbs. and he’s described as muscular. He appears scruffy and has short dark hair. The vehicle he took off in was an older beige or tan minivan.
Police aren’t saying if the victims knew their attacker. If you have any information you are asked to call police.
