The winning ticket in the new guaranteed $1 million prize draw in the new Lotto 6/49 was sold in the Orillia region.
“We’re thrilled that the winning ticket for the first guaranteed $1 Million Prize Draw was sold in Ontario,” said Greg McKenzie, Senior Vice President, Lottery, Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation in a release.
The cost of each play of Lotto 6/49 is now $3, up from $2, a change that is part of the first overhaul of the game in 10 years.
The jackpot for Saturday’s Lotto 6/49 draw is an estimated $9 million.
