Fire caused nearly half a million dollars in damage to an apartment building in Barrie on Friday morning.
Barrie fire crews were called to the four-storey building on Blake Street at around 10:45 a.m. About 30 people had to evacuate the complex.
Firefighters were able to knock the fire down quickly, but not before it caused $400,000 in damage.
Officials say the cause is believed to be unattended cooking.
No injuries are reported.
